<p><br/> Central China’s investor update call should assuage bond investors’ concerns over the fundamental profile of its remaining heavy-asset business. We continue to have some corporate governance concerns, stemming from Central China’s repeated provision of guarantees to related parties, as well as the spin-offs of profitable subsidiaries to shareholders (i.e. CCMGT) and to Chairman Wu Po Sum (in the case of Central China New Life).<br/><br/> The sharp drop in Central China’s share price yesterday could be due to the market’s perception that CCMGT is almost as valuable as the heavy-asset businesses, as the former enjoys faster growth and is debt-free.<br/></p>
