Asia HY Trade Recommendations - August 2020 - Lucror Analytics

Jinmao’s H1/20 results were weaker than expected, on account of the decline in revenue and lower margins. We note that revenue recognition has lagged, despite contracted sales numbers being apparently strong. Moreover, the company’s disclosure on JVs is poor, making it difficult to reconcile sales growth with revenue development. Overall, Jinmao's financial profile remains weak compared to lower-rated peers. That said, its SOE status provides it with strong access to capital.
