Periscope Analytics focuses on event-driven trades across Asia Pacific and provides comprehensive, timely and systematic coverage of index changes to major Asia Pacific indices in a structured manner.

The analysis includes forecasted inclusions and exclusions to all major Asian indices that have significant amount of tracking assets, including estimates of passive buy/sell flow on the stocks. The service also provides commentary and impact of market consultations, ground rule changes, and other events (IPOs, spin-offs, M&A) that could lead to index changes and passive flow.

Periscope Analytics works with multi-strategy hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, stat arb trading groups and long-only investors that invest and trade in the Asia Pacific region with the data being used to trade index rebalances, avoid pre-positioning and passive flow, and to time entry into and exit from stocks.

<li>Profit continues to expand at Mitsui E&amp;S after its transition to a holding company, now reporting over 400% profit growth for 9 months YTD. </li>
<li>The company is doing well to keep its operating costs down, with an improving funding structure and balance, as its revenue grows more than COGs.</li>
<li>We wonder if there will be more revisions upward to profit, with new initiatives and with a more proven recent track record.</li>
</ul>

There are many indices in China that will be rebalanced at the close on Friday, the biggest being the CSI 300, CSI 500, STAR50, SSE50 and KWEB US.

While most changes are in line with forecasts, there are some stocks that have not been added or deleted as the index committee has used their discretion.
The adds outperformed the deletes in the first half of the year with performance staying stable over the second half of the year. Position for outperformance ahead of implementation.
