Steno Research is a new macro and geopolitical research house. We are based out of Copenhagen, Denmark, but have an international team and a strong network of sources and partners around the world. The team is lead by Andreas Steno, previous global head of strategy at Nordea Bank, and Mikkel Rosenvold, former chief consultant in the Danish Ministry of Finance.

<ul><li>Recently the FED released its H4 recently which bears some interesting insights into the state of the US banking sector.</li><li>The Reverse Repo facility has been squashed since May while the bank reserves have remained relatively stable.</li><li>We are not at all surprised by the banks’ continued caution throughout the summer, and we expect this risk-averse attitude to persist in the coming quarters.</li></ul>

I love stonks and I love rambling. Sometimes, I feel it unfair to subject those around me with the inundation of my thoughts, so I tweet and I spill ink on here. Jokes aside, I love investing and edgy ideas; I hope to become a better investor and this is my journal to that end. I will be sharing value/special situations I come across organically or through other blogs/13F and I hope to provide a variant analytical view to said situations. <ul><li>This year is an incredibly exciting year for markets.</li><li>Whilst this is not a macro prognostication blog, I want to digress a little and state my view that underappreciated sectors over the past year or two will see their renaissance this year, even if due to simple plain old reversion to the mean.</li><li>And I hate to say this, but China for example, the IPO performance of recent listings e.g. Bloks (6000 times oversubscribed) seem to point to renewed ebullience on the Hong Kong stock exchange.</li></ul>
