The Malaysian rubber market was generally mixed in October, with SMR 20 and centrifuged latex prices moving upwards, supported by favorable market fundamentals and significantly tighter rubber supply due to wet weather in major rubber-producing countries. Resultantly, the Malaysian NR production, too, went up, though marginally, with producers showing enthusiasm to cash in on the price rise caressed by supportive domestic weather and proactive government measures aimed at uplifting the sector.
