Anton Oilfield’s H1/20 results were mostly in line with our expectation. Revenue and profitability declined as expected, owing to the challenging operating environment amid low oil prices. The company's new-orders won, which is a leading indicator for the business, dropped by almost a third. However, the backlog was flat q-o-q, with no further reduction in Q2, and remained large enough to sustain over 1.5 years of revenue. Leverage and coverage ratios deteriorated. The only surprise was the surge in capex. Anton pre-funded the maturity of the 2020 Notes last November, and has repurchased almost 40% of the Notes. Thus, the outstanding amount is manageable, considering the modest cash burn so far.
