<ul><li>In JTC’s latest market report for the second quarter of 2024, it noted that industrial rents rose 1 per cent quarter on quarter, recording the slowest rate of increase since Q1 2022 following the Covid-pandemic recovery.</li><li>On a year-on-year (yoy) basis, industrial rents are still up 6.6 per cent.</li><li>Overall occupancy rates rose 0.3 percentage point to 89 per cent as new demand continues to outpace supply increases.</li></ul>

In JTC’s latest market report for the second quarter of 2024, it noted that industrial rents rose 1 per cent quarter on quarter, recording the slowest rate of increase since Q1 2022 following the Covid-pandemic recovery.On a year-on-year (yoy) basis, industrial rents are still up 6.6 per cent.Overall occupancy rates rose 0.3 percentage point to 89 per cent as new demand continues to outpace supply increases.

<ul><li>Institutions were net sellers of Singapore stocks over the five trading sessions to Aug 1, with S$115 million of net institutional outflow, following the similar pace of S$95 million of net outflow for the preceding five sessions to Jul 26.</li><li>The five sessions to Aug 1 also saw 11 primary-listed companies conduct buybacks with a total consideration of S$6.4 million.</li><li>For context, in FY2023 and FY2022, the net profit attributable to shareholders came to S$8.3 million and $13.4 million, respectively.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Singapore stocks have booked net retail inflow of S$1.01 billion in the 2024 year to 13 June, comprised of S$959 million in 1Q24 and S$50 million in 2Q24.</li><li>While the 2Q24 net inflow looks to have slowed considerably, S$597 million of net retail outflow in the trio of Banks has offset S$646 million of net retail inflow to other Singapore stocks.</li><li>As noted above, coinciding with price gains, UOB booked the most net selling by retail investors in the 2Q24 (to 13 June) at S$366 million, which followed S$10 million of net retail buying in 1Q24.</li></ul>
