Azure Power’s Q4 and FY 2019-20 results were in line with our expectations. The impact from COVID-19 was insignificant, as was the power curtailment in Q4/19-20. Cash flows improved, on the back of more favourable working capital development, especially regarding receivables. That said, the financial risk profile continued to deteriorate relative to FYE 2018-19, as the green bond issuance drove up debt, outpacing EBITDA growth. We view the share issuance in Q4/19-20 to CPDQ positively, as it shored up liquidity and was used fund the construction of new projects. In addition, it signals continued support, with CPDQ now owning a majority stake in Azure Power. Liquidity was adequate, with a large cash balance and undrawn committed project debt.
