Azure’s Q2/19-20 results were softer than expected. Revenue and earnings missed expectations despite a surge in operating capacity. That said, the earnings call and additional information disclosure (as promised on the Q1/19-20 earnings call) were encouraging, helpful and reassuring to bond investors. The company’s two capital raises illustrate its access to capital in an environment where capital is at a premium and most peers are capital-constrained due to the ongoing liquidity crunch in India. We expect little ratings pressure.
