Overall, we believe that the offer is attractive with a strong chance to meet the high threshold required for a successful privatisation proposal in Hong Kong. </p></div>

In our previous note, we noted that while the details and terms of the possible offer remain under wraps, we believe an offer north of HK$3.00 per share will be needed to ensure broad acceptance.Late on Thursday night, HN Renewables disclosed that China Huaneng had a made a voluntary conditional cash offer to acquire all the issued H Shares for HK$3.17 per share. China Huaneng Group, China's largest electric power producer, is the controlling shareholder with a 52.7% stake.</p>
