We combine fundamental bottom-up views with our proprietary quantitative framework to provide a holistic coverage across new listings and placements. Our coverage includes pre-IPO notes before the deal is launched, follow-up analysis once the deal is live and post-listing trading analysis as well.

<li>The US$10.23bn net inflow through the Southbound Stock Connect in June marked a near-doubling from the May slump (US$5.85 bn), though it's still lower than the 15-month average (US$12.1 bn).</li>
<li>Investors bought high dividend yield SOEs heavily (e.g. China Construction Bank), and sold Tencent, Xiaomi, Alibaba. Healthcare companies - Innovent Biologics and CSPC Pharma were bought, underscoring investors' defensive stance.</li>
<li>Investors' dividend yield fascination seems unabated.  Some technology stocks (Tencent) do not seem overbought. Despite large buying, EV and ecommerce heavyweights (Meituan) are declining. Investors' appetite in them could slump.</li>

<li>Of our seven quantitative stock baskets, four have operated for more than three months. We measure the performances of these four - Consistent Compounders, SMID Compounders, Dividend Yielders, Indian Mid-Caps.</li>
<li>Consistent Compounders, though up since inception, has underperformed MXASJ mildly. SMID Compounders has underperformed sharply. Asian Dividend Yielders has outperformed handsomely and Indian Mid-Caps, by a stupendous margin.</li>
<li>We think the Indian mid-cap basket could take a short-term breather. The Dividend Yield basket could outperform, as investors’ preference for yields in uncertain times could continue for now.</li>
