At the start of 2025, Thailand’s rubber sector carried an air of optimism. The projected production was 4.93 million tons, almost three percent higher than 2024’s 4.79 million tons. Yields were expected to rise from 213 to 221 kilograms per rai, helped by better agronomic practices. The top-producing southern provinces were forecast to supply 2.82 million tons, with the northeast contributing 1.42 million, and central and northern regions together accounting for around 692,000 tons.
