<ul><li>Chinese auto exports again shot up in the first six months of this year, largely fueled by rising demand for new-energy vehicles (NEVs) and surging deliveries to a sanction-hit Russia, as local carmakers sought to invigorate sales with a push overseas.</li><li>First-half shipments leapt 75.7% from the same period last year to 2.14 million vehicles, according to a report Tuesday by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).</li><li>Overseas shipments of NEVs — a category that consists mainly of pure electric and hybrid models — more than doubled to 534,000 vehicles, accounting for nearly a quarter of the total exports, the CAAM report showed.</li></ul>

Ltd. among its major investors, plans to use the IPO proceeds mainly to develop system-on-a-chip (SoC) designs and software for intelligent vehicles in the next three years.</li><li>Bloomberg in January reported that the company expects to raise $200 million through the share sale, citing people familiar with the matter.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Swedish electric vehicle maker Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC said Monday it is entering into a strategic agreement to set up a joint venture with Chinese smartphone and consumer electronics company Xingji Meizu Group to build an operating system for Polestar cars sold in China.</li><li>The joint venture will develop Xingji Meizu’s Flyme Auto system into a new operating system that can support in-car apps, streaming services and intelligent vehicle software, Polestar said in a statement.</li><li>Polestar will own 49% of the joint venture, with the remaining 51% controlled by Xingji Meizu. Both Polestar and Xingji Meizu are owned by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. Ltd.</li></ul>
