Chandra Asri Petrochemical's (CAP) H1/19 results were weak, due to the massive new petrochemical capacity being brought online by private Chinese companies. This has reduced prices of petrochemical products and margins. CAP recorded lower revenue, a drop in profitability, and negative OCF. However, Q2 cash flows were much better than Q1. The financial risk profile weakened significantly, but the balance sheet remained strong on account of the large cash position, and acceptable leverage. Interest coverage ratios are poor. Liquidity is adequate.
