Lucror Analytics is a leading credit and ESG research specialist and a provider of technology solutions for differentiated fixed income strategies. Azure Power’s Q1/21-22 results were robust, with revenue growth and earnings surpassing expectations. The 4 GW project with SECI seems to be making progress. From a credit perspective, the financial risk profile is stable or improving based on management’s preferred ratio, Net Debt/LTM EBITDA for operating assets. The traditional credit metrics are not very relevant as the company is capital-heavy and is in a growth phase. Liquidity is weak considering the large short-term debt and heavy capex requirements. That said, we note the continued support from the controlling shareholder, Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec.
