<ul><li>Although the SET moved in a narrow range as the market had only the 1Q24 earnings results providing support, it was able to close up for the fourth day in a row.</li><li>Foreign investors turned to buy, and the improvement of BH, DELTA and ADVANC bolstered the index’s continued rise. <ul><li>Bank of America’s Global Fund Manager Survey for March maintained a bullish stance on equity investment, with a consistent increase in the weighting for the fifth consecutive month, now standing at 28% overweight (OW), compared to 21% OW in February and 9% OW in January.</li><li>There has been a notable shift toward allocating more investment to equities in the EU, global emerging markets (GEM) and Japan, leading to a reduction in the weighting on US equities to 8% OW from 21% OW.</li><li>This shift is underpinned by the belief that the global economy is poised to surpass projections. </li></ul>

<ul><li>Global fund managers still suggest increasing holdings of safe-haven assets, such as cash, or investing in sectors with recurring income, notably utilities and health care stocks, while they are bearish on risk assets and global growth in the next 12 months.</li><li>Investors also repriced their expectations regarding the terminal fed funds rate in 1Q23 by 50 bps higher.</li><li>However, we expect the Thai market to see a limited impact from the bearishness thanks to the good earnings recovery momentum, in contrast to global economies, as well as the boost from the huge growth in the number of tourist arrivals from 400k in 2021 to an expected 21mn in 2023E.</li></ul>
