<div class="content-highlight"><p>Established in 1984, Bentley Systems (headquartered in Exton, PA), which provides software for construction and infrastructure projects, is getting ready for an IPO on the NASDAQ exchange under the symbol BSY. The company's software enables digital workflows across engineering disciplines, distributed project teams, from offices to the field, and across computing form factors, including desktops, on-premises servers, cloud-native services, mobile devices, and web browsers.  It has put an IPO placeholder at $100 million but it is expected that this will be a much higher IPO and the company could raise as much as $<a href="https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/infrastructure-software-provider-bentley-systems-files-for-an-estimated-%24800-million-ipo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">800 million.</a></p></div><p>Bentley Systems will be among the six major software/platform related IPOs in the U.S. stock market in the coming weeks. The software/platform has been some of the best performing sectors in the U.S. IPO market this year and there are likely to be continued strong interest in this sector in 2H 2020. Bentley Systems is likely to be compared to Palantir as both companies have similar annual sales but Bentley is much more profitable, although Palantir has a higher sales growth rate. The IPOs of these two companies at a similar time frame will be interesting to watch. </p>
