There could be five changes for the SSE 50 index and 18 changes for the SSE 180 index in June 2024.

<li>Constituent changes, float changes and capping changes result in an estimated one-way turnover is 13.4% and in a one-way trade of US$50m.</li>
<li>The mainland China stocks in the index have been the biggest laggards and this rebalance will reduce their weight in the index significantly.</li>

Albemarle Corp (ALB US) will replace ioneer (INR AU) in the VanEck Rare Earth/Strategic Me (REMX US) at the close on 15 December.
Constituent changes, float changes and capping changes result in an estimated one-way turnover is 13.4% and in a one-way trade of US$50m.
The mainland China stocks in the index have been the biggest laggards and this rebalance will reduce their weight in the index significantly.


MVIS Global Rare Earth/​​​​​Strategic Metals Index Rebalance: Albermarle (ALB US) Finally Added

<ul>
<li>The review period for the June rebalance ended on 31 May. Announcement of the changes will be made on 9 June with implementation at the close on 16 June.</li>
<li>There could be 3 or 4 A-share additions due to their inclusion in Northbound Stock Connect. That in turn expands the index universe and could result in 2-3 deletions.</li>
<li>If there are 4 adds and 2 deletes at the June rebalance, estimated one-way turnover at the rebalance will be 13.4% and will result in a one-way trade of US$81m.</li>
</ul>


The review period for the June rebalance ended on 31 May. Announcement of the changes will be made on 9 June with implementation at the close on 16 June.
There could be 3 or 4 A-share additions due to their inclusion in Northbound Stock Connect. That in turn expands the index universe and could result in 2-3 deletions.
If there are 4 adds and 2 deletes at the June rebalance, estimated one-way turnover at the rebalance will be 13.4% and will result in a one-way trade of US$81m.


MVIS Global Rare Earth/​​​​​​​Strategic Metals Index Rebalance Preview: Changes Afoot

<ul>
<li>There are no constituent changes for the MVIS Global Rare Earth/Strategic Metals Index at the March rebalance. There are free float and capping changes though.</li>
<li>One way turnover is estimated at 3.1% and will result in a one-way trade of US$19m. Flows are relatively small with no impact over 1x ADV on any stock.</li>
<li>The June rebalance should have constituent changes with an increase in the number of stocks in the index universe.</li>
</ul>


There are no constituent changes for the MVIS Global Rare Earth/Strategic Metals Index at the March rebalance. There are free float and capping changes though.
One way turnover is estimated at 3.1% and will result in a one-way trade of US$19m. Flows are relatively small with no impact over 1x ADV on any stock.
The June rebalance should have constituent changes with an increase in the number of stocks in the index universe.
