We liked CNOOC back at the 8.40-50 level but failed to reach our ideal 8.20 buy point. Oil bottomed in line with our call back in June but CNOOC lagged until recently, showing much better upside momentum as it pushes through pattern resistance to challenge the bigger barriers outlined in the daily chart.Upside energy stems from the bullish breakout of the mature descending wedge that formed from late 2016.
