Mid-Term Country Allocation (Tactical view) in terms of RV vs MXAPThis week: • Signals for a new tactical opportunity: Upgrade on Kospi to “Increase Exposure” from “Hold”, within a long term Kospi outperformance. • No change for the other countries: Still Overweight Nikkei, Nifty, HSI and HSCEI. • ASX under the radar for a potential outperformance (watching reintegration of channel on the ASX/MXAP at 38.60/38.85 ) but maintain hold for now until the signal is triggered. (Note that the ratio HSCEI/MXAP is still below the resistance/upside confirmation) but both HSI and HSCEI are in the shorter term, expected to outperform.</li><li>Maintain as well high-risk exposure on Nikkei, and Nifty</li><li>Downgrade ASX from “increase exposure” to “hold” since the ratio ASX/MXAP broke a channel support but all elements have not confirmed any bearish reversal.</li><li>Still “hold” for Kospi and TWSE.</li></ul>

This week the Macau government proposed to the Second Standing Committee of Macau Legislative Assembly to allow smoking only in smoking lounges in casinos effective on Jan. 1, 2019, one year later than our existing expectation. Our current forecasts across our narrow moat coverage universe already factor in a negative mid-single-digit percentage point impact to VIP play in 2018, and postponing that one year is not expected to have any significant impact to our fair value estimates. Therefore, under the proposed bill newer casinos will be able to establish smoking lounges in VIP gaming areas, while the older casinos will lose the smoking premium mass and VIP smoking area.
