Games Workshop Group’s (GAW’s) trading update states core and licensing revenue in January and February 2025 have been better than expected, continuing the momentum in Q325 that was reported at the time of the H125 results. As a result, we increase our FY25 PBT estimate by c 9%, while leaving our FY26 estimate unchanged.

Games Workshop Group — Momentum continued into Q325

Games Workshop Group (GAW) has reached a final agreement with Amazon to adapt the Warhammer 40K universe into films and television series, with associated merchandising rights. The aim of the exclusive agreement is to initially place GAW’s Warhammer 40K intellectual property into new markets and to a wider audience, which naturally should generate incremental new revenue, with the hope the content encourages more people to take up the hobby and benefit the core business. By definition, the content production cycle for film and television series is long and ‘may take a number of years’ to benefit GAW’s results so is unlikely to benefit near-term estimates.

<li>We'll maintain our bullish view as long as market dynamics remain healthy and SPX and ACWI-US are above 5500 and $115; we would be buyers on pullbacks to these levels.</li>
<li>We would also be buyers at 5700-5785 on SPX and $120-$121 on ACWI-US, which are shorter-term supports.</li>

<li>$116 support held perfectly and we expect upside to continue following 1+ month bull flag breakouts, followed by successful retests of support, on ACWI-US and the S&amp;P 500.</li>
<li>We also upgraded Germany to overweight last week, with RS on the DAX breaking out from a 2-year base. U.S. (SPX) and Germany are our only two country overweights.</li>

$116 support held perfectly and we expect upside to continue following 1+ month bull flag breakouts, followed by successful retests of support, on ACWI-US and the S&amp;P 500.
