H&H’s H1/20 results were weak but within our expectations, considering the disruption that resulted from the COVID-19 outbreak and the related lockdown. In our view, the company has been taking reasonable steps to weather the challenges, including by developing its online sales channels and building up a safety stock of inventory. We remain cautious on the potential margin deterioration that could result from a cut to selling prices to boost revenue growth. That said, H&H's financial risk profile is solid and its liquidity is sound. The company has minimal short-term debt obligations, which is a positive given the current circumstances. In our view, revenue growth could be stronger in H2/20, on the back of a recovery for offline sales channels in China. However, income from the ANZ market could remain under pressure with the recovery for daigou activity lagging. Positively, there have been no major disruptions to the company’s production and supply chain in Europe and ANZ. H&H sources most of its raw materials and manufactured products outside China, with limited in-house production capacity in that market.
