The government of Japan, together with four major companies, plan to demonstrate the first major hydrogen supply-chain in the run-up to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Hydrogen has been long considered as a rich and clean source of energy despite current high costs making it less-practical for mass scale power generation. As the government and the automakers of Japan prepare themselves for the changing landscape by building Fuel-cell vehicles and Hydrogen power stations, Chiyoda has developed SPERA Hydrogen® technology which has enabled Hydrogen to be handled like other fossil fuels.

Inpex’s share price has been volatile since January, 2017 following a bearish  first half and bullish second half in 2016. The downtrending in its top-line Since FY2014 should cease from FY2018. Sluggish margins have stabilise with commodity prices becoming less volatile this year. Strengthening LNG sales in the Japan market coupled with up-coming projects are positive signs, bolstered by increasing proved reserves. The looming impact of Ichthys is key to determining prospects over the next few years.
