India to see further acceleration under Modi, but Opposition remains a hurdle<ul><li>Narendra Modi completes two years in power and with India posting high growth rates, he has a strong economic story credited to his name.</li><li>India's growth is expected to improve cyclically, however structural acceleration will require persistence with reforms.</li><li>With opposition parties still maintaining the majority in the Upper House of parliament, structural transformation could remain impeded. Also, as the government ramps up its Hindu nationalist rhetoric to woo voters in upcoming State Assembly elections, economic development could take a backseat and further constrain growth prospects.</li></ul>
