Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

iShares Russell 2000 ETF / Technical Analysis

<ul>
<li>Last week's FOMC announcement and quad witching allowed for some breadth improvement, and the S&amp;P 500, Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000, and Russell Micro Cap indexes broke above their respective downtrends.</li>
<li>While this is undoubtedly a positive, we are waiting for more confirmation. It is not uncommon to have misdirection following important FOMC meetings.</li>
<li>The Russell 2000(IWM) remains below major resistance at $209, which was support for all of 2021. This is arguably the most important resistance level in regards to the broad market.</li>
</ul>


Last week's FOMC announcement and quad witching allowed for some breadth improvement, and the S&amp;P 500, Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000, and Russell Micro Cap indexes broke above their respective downtrends.
While this is undoubtedly a positive, we are waiting for more confirmation. It is not uncommon to have misdirection following important FOMC meetings.

<li>Solactive has announced the constituent changes for the Global Uranium &amp; Nuclear Components Index. There are 8 adds and 1 delete with implementation at the close on 4 February.</li>
<li>Prior to the rebalance, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/bhp-billiton-plc" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:21840:1" rel="noopener">BHP Billiton (BLT LN)</a> will be deleted at the close on 28 January following Unification with <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/bhp-group-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:147:1" rel="noopener">BHP Group (BHP AU)</a>.</li>
<li>The flows on the stocks are small, but there is a big impact on the inclusions in Australia. <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/global-x-uranium-etf" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:32107:1" rel="noopener">Global X Uranium ETF (URA US)</a> will buy around 5.5% of float.</li>

Prior to the rebalance, BHP Billiton (BLT LN) will be deleted at the close on 28 January following Unification with BHP Group (BHP AU).
The flows on the stocks are small, but there is a big impact on the inclusions in Australia. Global X Uranium ETF (URA US) will buy around 5.5% of float.

All changes were expected.</li>
<li>Nearly all inclusions and exclusions have over 2 days of ADV to trade and that increases significantly on some stocks. The volatility on the inclusions has been extremely high.</li>
<li>There could be another change announced in the coming week depending on results of the <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/oil-search-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:773:1" rel="noopener">Oil Search Ltd (OSH AU)</a> Scheme Meeting for the merger with <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/santos-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:711:1" rel="noopener">Santos Ltd (STO AU)</a>.</li>

<li>If the Oil Search shareholders approve, the stock could be deleted at the close on 10 December. Spark Infrastructure could be deleted at the end of November following its acquisition.</li>
