Singapore Exchange Ltd (SGX)

<ul><li>Share buybacks by primary listed companies 18 - 24 Aug 2023 UOB led the share buyback consideration tally, buying back 360,000 shares at an average price of S$27.93 per share, followed by Sembcorp Industries which bought back 1,095,000 shares at an average price of S$5.35 per share.</li><li>Between Aug 17 and Aug 23, QAF joint group managing director and executive director Lin Kejian acquired 1,586,000 shares at an average price of S$0.80 per share.</li></ul>

Vibrant activity among top traded stocks on SGX

<ul><li>Within the Singapore stock market, Sembcorp Industries and Seatrium have booked the most net institutional fund inflows in the year to Jul 18.</li><li>Seatrium has been Singapore’s sixth most traded stock, while Sembcorp Industries has ranked among the 15 most traded stocks, up from ranking among the 30 most traded stocks in 2022.</li><li>Overall, Singapore Exchange-listed stocks have booked S$2.8 billion of net institutional fund outflow and S 4 billion of net retail inflow in the 2023 year to Jul 18.</li></ul>

<ul><li>The STI generated a 2.4% total return over the first 15 weeks of 2023, with 20 gainers, one stock unchanged and nine decliners.</li><li>The five strongest performers of the STI in the YTD included Sembcorp Ind, Keppel Corp, Genting Sing, Keppel DC REIT and Mapletree Log Tr, with the five stocks averaging 22% total returns, while the decliners were led by CityDev, YZJ Shipbldg, ThaiBev, Singtel and HongkongLand, which averaged a 6% decline in total returns.</li><li>Following a 73% total return on S$220 million of net institutional inflow in 2022, Sembcorp Industries has generated a 27% total return on S$90 million of net institutional inflow.</li></ul>
