After the third generation (Ee) control the banking and securities business, the future generation (Teng) have branched out in restaurants (Lo &amp; Behold) and laundry. Many of their former employees have also gone on to be very successful, leading units of Aberdeen and RHB, but none of them is more famous than the former remeiser Peter Lim, who became a billionaire in his own rights through the Wilmar deal. Today, Peter Lim routinely shows up as one of Singapore's top ten tycoons and owns the pretty good Spanish football Valencia (currently ranked 17th on La Liga Spain). Though investments is not the key point of this short series, we highlight what some of our other colleagues feel about UOB and related companies today. Hint: It's not so cool these days yo.
