The company develops microchannel reactors and super-active catalysts for gas-to-liquids and biomass-to-liquids. In addition, it converts gas-to-liquids through steam methane reforming, Fischer-Tropsch, and hydrocracking and fractionation upgradation processes. The company has operations in Europe, the Americas, and the Asia Pacific. The company was formerly known as Oxford Catalysts Group PLC and changed its name to Velocys plc in September 2013. Velocys plc was incorporated in 2006 and is based in Abingdon, the United Kingdom.
