Periscope Analytics focuses on event-driven trades across Asia Pacific and provides comprehensive, timely and systematic coverage of index changes to major Asia Pacific indices in a structured manner.

The analysis includes forecasted inclusions and exclusions to all major Asian indices that have significant amount of tracking assets, including estimates of passive buy/sell flow on the stocks. The service also provides commentary and impact of market consultations, ground rule changes, and other events (IPOs, spin-offs, M&A) that could lead to index changes and passive flow.

According Ha Noi stock exchange, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) will be listed on the Upcom exchange by November 21, 2016. The listing reference price in the first trading day is VND25,000 per share, which implies a market cap of USD2.4 billion based on the 2,177,173,236 shares outstanding.

My previous insight outlines opportunities in Vietnam’s logistics industry in the north of Vietnam, and investors should also note the strong trends of growth in the south, primarily in Cat Lai Port.  The development of Lach Nguyen Port in northern Vietnam will also be a substantial boost for capacity in northern Vietnam.  Both the north and the south have been delivering double digit growth, which consequently makes this a significant area for value investing.

This insight provides further insight on my maintained bullish stance for textile companies and industrial park operators, even with TPP ratification being uncertain.  Stocks in these areas are deeply discounted, have displayed a strong benchmark of financial growth in the past five years, and are strategic areas for value investing.  Vietnam's low cost manufacturing comparative advantage is still sustainable with or without the TPP.
