Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

The restructuring of China's drug distribution industry continues with <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/276" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:276:1">Baiyunshan Phrmcl Hldgs Co Ltd (874 HK)</a>'s pending buyout of <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/1118" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:1118:1">Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc (WBA US)</a>'s stake in the two companies' 50/50 JV. The transaction comes on the heels of <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/1533" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:1533:1">Cardinal Health Inc (CAH US)</a>'s sale of its China drug distribution business to <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/228" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:228:1">Shanghai Pharmaceuticals H (2607 HK)</a>. This Insight will discuss the transaction, industry backdrop, and implications. The transaction looks slightly accretive on Baiyunshan's 2016's pro forma results.
