<ul><li>The US has maintained the reciprocal tariff rate on Thailand at 36%, while allowing room for negotiations before the new tariff takes effect on August 1, 2025.</li><li>If the US ultimately imposes this 36% tariff on Thai exports (with KTX estimating a 30% probability), it would undermine the competitiveness of Thai products — particularly electronics and rubber — posing downside risk that could push the SET Index down to 1,037 points over the next 12 months.</li><li>However, we believe the Thai government will make strong efforts to negotiate the rate down closer to 18% (55% probability). </li></ul>

<ul><li>KTX expects the better-than-expected 3Q24 GDP growth report, along with the NESDC's upward revision of 2024E GDP growth to 2.6% (from 2.5%), to provide only short-term positive momentum.</li><li>However, the 2025E GDP growth outlook, projected at 2.8% (range: 2.3-3.3%), is seen as a negative guidance compared to the consensus estimate of 3.0%.</li><li>This reflects downside risks from global economic uncertainties, particularly in international trade, which is expected to be negatively impacted by Donald Trump's tariff hike policies. </li></ul>
