Windar Photonics develops and sells cost-efficient Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) sensors and associated products for electricity-generating wind turbines. The company's key products, WindEYE and WindVISION sensors, measure wind speed and direction by scanning a laser beam ahead of wind turbines to improve efficiency and extend lifespan. Windar Photonics was founded in 2008 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Denmark and is headquartered in Ishøj, Denmark, with its PLC registered in the UK in 2014.
