<p>China’s economy is slowing moderately in line with our expectations. The spike in COVID infections combined with a tough containment posture will slow growth in 3Q21 but not for long, as a) stepped-up local government bond raising funds more infrastructure spending while b) administrative restrictions which slowed growth are fine-tuned.</p><p>More broadly, we had already factored into our moderately below-consensus GDP growth forecasts (2021F: 8.2%) relatively strict containment efforts in response to flareups in infections.</p>
