<p>As was widely expected, the Federal Open Market Committee raised the fed funds rate target range by 25 basis points today to 2¼%–2½%.  The vote to raise rates was unanimous.  There were few surprises in the policy statement but the Fed did not remove the language referring to further gradual rate hikes and the Summary of Economic Projections pointed to two more hikes in 2019.</p>
