The TOPIX Inclusion Event would be at the close of 30th January 2024. I currently expect there to be 0.63mn-0.78mn shares of index buying. However, the company issued 1.2mn new shares in a recent equity offering. At present, the share price is at JPY9,780 which is ~7% higher than the Offer Price. Some of the shareholders who bought shares in the Offer could be willing to take profits.
