<li>Long-end UST yields declined 3 bps yesterday, leaving the curve slightly flatter, supported by decent demand for a 20Y notes auction and amid a stabilisation in oil prices. The yield on the 2Y UST was unchanged at 3.68%, while the yield on the 10Y UST fell 2 bps to 4.20%. Equities advanced for a second day, with the S&amp;P 500 and Nasdaq up 0.2% and 0.5%, respectively.</li>
<li>US President Donald Trump has responded with a mix of criticism and "go it alone" defiance, following the refusal by most NATO members to send warships to help secure the Strait of Hormuz. In a post on Truth Social, Mr Trump expressed his frustration that US spending on NATO has been a "one-way street", adding that "we will protect them, but they will do nothing for us, in particular, in a time of need".</li>
