Fed’s 25 bps rate cut was called a “hawkish cut” by some economists, but Chair Powell’s comment, highlighting the possibility of downward revision in employment data, was hardly so. Dot plot shows 1 more cut in ‘26. CME Fedwatch: 68% chance of 2 or more cuts. USD moderation, more room to Asian central banks for monetary stimuli & increased flow into Asian equity seems certain.
