<p>As a ray of festive optimism, the  government on Tuesday had conveyed its plans of initiating all new production-linked incentive schemes. The PLI schemes will directly benefit as much as 10 new industries as opposed to just 3 streams of businesses under the existing one. </p><p>It goes without saying that the move will provide a much needed impetus to the domestic manufacturing, but one must not get carried away given that the current broad based economy indicators are still on the back-foot.</p>
