KDB is pushing for the sale of some of its Hanwha Ocean shares (13 million initially, more later on) through block deal sale which is likely to continue to act as a major negative on Hanwha Ocean. KDB acquired shares in Daewoo Heavy Industries, the predecessor of Hanwha Ocean, through a capital-to-equity conversion in 2000. It currently holds a 19.5% stake in Hanwha Ocean.
