<li>The A$0.87/share Offer Price was a 64.5% premium to last close. This included a permitted fully franked dividend up to A$0.10/share. Mix &amp; match options are afforded, including 100% scrip.</li>

The Scheme Booklet is now out, with a Scheme Meeting on the 3rd February, and expected implementation on the 23rd Feb 2026. The IE (Kroll) says "fair &amp; reasonable".

<li>HSBC offered HK$155/share, a 30.3% premium to last close. The price was final. A third interim dividend was bolted on. Optically - and fundamentally - the price was bang on.</li>

HSBC offered HK$155/share, a 30.3% premium to last close. The price was final. A third interim dividend was bolted on. Optically - and fundamentally - the price was bang on.

National Storage REIT is a Real Estate Investment Trust.  The Trust owns self storage facilities in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast in Queensland, Sydney Western Suburbs in New South Wales, Melbourne and Geelong in Victoria, Adelaide in South Australia, Perth in Western Australia and Hobart in Tasmania.

<li>Brookfield and GIC took a peek behind the curtains and firmed terms for <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/national-storage-reit" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:13762:1" rel="noopener">National Storage REIT (NSR AU)</a>. Clean deal.</li>
<li>
<a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/raksul-inc" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:27043:1" rel="noopener">Raksul Inc (4384 JP)</a> will get done at some price, though not necessarily at ¥1,710/share. You'd want to own Raksul at ¥1,710/share.</li>
<li>Further inquiries suggest CDH likely controls ~18% of <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/ane-cayman-inc" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:35025:1" rel="noopener">ANE Cayman Inc (9956 HK)</a>. This should not be up for debate. </li>

Austal Limited is an emerging global defence prime contractor. The Group supplies vessel platforms such as the Littoral Combat Ship and the Joint High Speed Vessel to the United States Navy, an extensive range of patrol and auxiliary vessels to defence forces around the world, and installs and maintains military communications, radar and command and control systems.

<li>After the US' CFIUS permitted the Hanwha Group to acquire up to a 100% stake in Aussie-based shipbuilding and defense firm <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/austal-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:14420:1" rel="noopener">Austal Ltd (ASB AU)</a>, FIRB's support appeared a lock.</li>
<li>FIRB has now cleared Hanwha to lift its stake to 19.9% from 9.9%, "and cannot increase its shareholding above 19.9 per cent". Andrew and Nicola Forrest's Tattarang currently holds ~19.4%. </li>
<li>This development should not come as a surprise. Fundamentally, Austal is not inexpensive. </li>

FIRB has now cleared Hanwha to lift its stake to 19.9% from 9.9%, "and cannot increase its shareholding above 19.9 per cent". Andrew and Nicola Forrest's Tattarang currently holds ~19.4%. 
This development should not come as a surprise. Fundamentally, Austal is not inexpensive.
