Asia HY Monthly - Agency Ratings For Asian Issuers - Lucror Analytics

Investor sentiment bounced back in January as equity and fixed-income asset classes performed strongly. The rebound in global equities has been aggressive, with the S&amp;P moving from c. 12-14x earnings to back above 16x earnings. This volatility is only partly explained by macro factors. Global growth has been slowing due to policy tightening in the US and China, persistent undershooting in Europe and shakier business confidence in view of rising geopolitical tensions. Considering the extent of the rebound, many investors appear to have been underweight risk assets.
