<li>For placements, it was a very busy week for a change with most regions, apart from Hong Kong, chipping in.</li>

<li>ANZ Funds is looking to raise around US$242m from selling a portion of its stake in <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/ammb-holdings-bhd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:137:1" rel="noopener">AMMB Holdings (AMM MK)</a>.</li>
<li>Having written down its carrying value earlier, we would argue that the deal now is somewhat well flagged, with ANZ attempting to record some gains on investment.</li>
<li>That being said, there is an overhang and the deal would be a large one to digest at 111 days of AMBank’s three month ADV.</li>

Analysis of BIS bank guidelines in the context of Asia, is also a focal point, while we also analyze global banks operating in the region. We use what we believe is the most comprehensive, reliable financials database, SNL Financial. S&P Capital IQ augments our database, with corporate data and CEIC, with economics.
