<p>EML Payments (EML) has announced another government stimulus contract win, this time supporting Correos in Spain with the government’s plan to boost the cultural sector. While positive for the General Purpose Reloadable (GPR) business, the company noted that this contract would use much of the growth cap imposed by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) on EU-based business. We have taken the opportunity to revisit our forecasts, reducing the weighting of establishment and breakage/dormant account fees and increasing the weighting of volume-based revenue. This results in cuts to our FY23 and FY24 revenue, EBITDA and NPATA forecasts.</p>

<li>Then there will be a whole bunch of changes to the S&amp;P/ASX 100 Index, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/s-p-asx-200" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:22901:1" rel="noopener">S&amp;P/ASX 200 (AS51 INDEX)</a> and S&amp;P/ASX 300 Index in September as part of the regular rebalance. </li>
<li>There is large short interest on a couple of the potential adds and a lot of the potential deletes. That will drive stock price moves closer to implementation.</li>

<li>Passive trackers will need to trade between 2-6 days of ADV on nearly all stocks. Short interest spikes in a few names indicate pre-positioning for the passive flow.</li>

<a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/core-lithium-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:14712:1" rel="noopener">Core Lithium Ltd (CXO AU)</a> is a potential inclusion to the MVIS Global Rare Earth/Strategic Metals Index in June and that could add to the passive inflows on the stock.</li>

<p>With its Q322 trading update, EML Payments downgraded its guidance for FY22. A number of factors have combined to weigh on revenue and increase overheads. We have revised our forecasts to reflect lower revenue growth and a higher cost base, cutting our EBITDA and NPATA forecasts for FY22–24. In our view, resolution of the Irish regulatory issue and rising interest rates are the two main factors that could provide earnings and share price upside.</p>
