Periscope Analytics focuses on event-driven trades across Asia Pacific and provides comprehensive, timely and systematic coverage of index changes to major Asia Pacific indices in a structured manner.

The analysis includes forecasted inclusions and exclusions to all major Asian indices that have significant amount of tracking assets, including estimates of passive buy/sell flow on the stocks. <li>Estimated one-way turnover is in excess of 22% and will result in a one-way trade of US$490m. There are 11 stocks with estimated passive flows greater than 1x ADV.</li>
<li>The index is not very widely tracked and there could be big moves in stocks today and over the next few days - especially where there is multiple days ADV.</li>

<li>This event can be a critical inflection point in predicting the counter-flow for short positions against Ecopro BM and L&amp;F in advance.</li>

Pre-Positioning Targeting Solactive Global Lithium Index's October Rebalancing

<li>LG Energy's virtually locked-up shares rise to nearly 95%. This should at least partially explain why its price has substantially outperformed the KOSPI in recent months, showing strong downward rigidity.</li>
<li>Additional long-term money equivalent to 2-3% of SO can come in for 5% float shares. There is no precedent for a float crunch of this magnitude among top-cap local stocks.</li>
<li>It seems necessary to reconsider taking a shorting position for LG Energy even after the 9th of next month when the short-term passives inflow situation is completed.</li>
</ul>

<li>There are some somewhat elusive additions. The most prominent example is Japan Steel Works, which replaced LG Chem in the updated WATCH list at the last minute.</li>
<li>There was confusion about LG Chem's deletion until the last minute, so, likely, the market has not sufficiently reflected this rebalancing factor in LG Energy/LG Chem's LONG/SHORT.</li>
</ul>
