<li>US natural gas inventories rose 80 Bcf for the week ending 18/Oct, higher than analyst expectations of an 61 Bcf buildup. Inventories are 4.6% above the 5-year seasonal average.</li>
<li>Schlumberger missed revenue estimates by 1.2% but beat EPS forecasts by 0.6%, prompting analysts to cut target prices. Meanwhile, Saudi Aramco's CEO anticipates improved Chinese oil demand post-stimulus.</li>

For the week ending 18/Oct, US crude inventories increased by 5.5m barrels, exceeding expectations of a 0.8m barrel build. Gasoline stocks defied expectations of decline while distillate inventories fell lesser-than-expected.  
US natural gas inventories rose 80 Bcf for the week ending 18/Oct, higher than analyst expectations of an 61 Bcf buildup. Inventories are 4.6% above the 5-year seasonal average.
Schlumberger missed revenue estimates by 1.2% but beat EPS forecasts by 0.6%, prompting analysts to cut target prices. Meanwhile, Saudi Aramco's CEO anticipates improved Chinese oil demand post-stimulus.


[ETP 2024/43] WTI Rebounds as Middle East Conflict Escalates; Henry Hub Rises on Improving Demand

<li>For the week ending 11/Oct, US crude inventories decreased by 2.2m barrels, diverging from expectations of a 1.8m barrel build. Additionally, gasoline and distillate stockpiles also declined more than anticipated.</li>
<li>US natural gas inventories rose 76 Bcf for the week ending 11/Oct, lower than analyst expectations of an 80 Bcf buildup. Inventories are 4.6% above the 5-year seasonal average.</li>
<li>Halliburton, Schlumberger, and Occidental’s target prices were cut. Notably, analysts kept their Buy ratings on Reliance despite its net profit falling by 4.8% YoY.</li>

<li>US natural gas inventories rise 58 Bcf for the week ending 13/Sep, more than analyst expectations of a 53 Bcf buildup. Inventories are 8.6% above the 5-year seasonal average.</li>
<li>Chevron, Occidental Petroleum, and Exxon Mobil see target price cuts. DBS Bank initiated a Buy rating on Schlumberger and Halliburton.</li>

[ETP 2024/38] Oil Rises on Fed Rate Cut and Geopolitics; Nat-Gas Gains on Warmer Forecasts

<li>US crude inventories fell for the fifth consecutive week by 3.4 mb, exceeding the 1.6 mb decline expected by analysts. Gasoline stocks also decreased by 3.7 mb.</li>
<li>As of the week ending 26/Jul, US natural gas inventories were up 8.4% YoY and 15.7% above the 5-year seasonal average.</li>
<li>European oil majors beat Q2 profit estimates. BP’s Q2 underlying net profit beat estimates by 7.7%. Shell’s Q2 EPS beat estimates by 5.1%. </li>
</ul>


US crude inventories fell for the fifth consecutive week by 3.4 mb, exceeding the 1.6 mb decline expected by analysts. Gasoline stocks also decreased by 3.7 mb.
As of the week ending 26/Jul, US natural gas inventories were up 8.4% YoY and 15.7% above the 5-year seasonal average.
European oil majors beat Q2 profit estimates. BP’s Q2 underlying net profit beat estimates by 7.7%. Shell’s Q2 EPS beat estimates by 5.1%. 


[ETP 31/2024] Oil Prices Surge on Middle East Tensions; BP and Shell Beat Earnings Expectations

<li>US crude oil inventory declined by 12.2 million barrels as of the week ending on 28/Jun, the biggest drawdown since July 2023.</li>
<li>Henry Hub prices continued to decline from last week due to increased production and cooler weather forecasts.</li>
<li>Saudi Aramco awarded over USD 25 billion in contracts for gas expansion. Goldman Sachs lowered its target price on Saudi Aramco but maintained its “Neutral” rating.</li>
</ul>


US crude oil inventory declined by 12.2 million barrels as of the week ending on 28/Jun, the biggest drawdown since July 2023.
Henry Hub prices continued to decline from last week due to increased production and cooler weather forecasts.
Saudi Aramco awarded over USD 25 billion in contracts for gas expansion. Goldman Sachs lowered its target price on Saudi Aramco but maintained its “Neutral” rating.
