<li>This is likely to have a positive impact on LX International's share price as many investors are relieved that company will not raise excessive amounts of capital to acquire HMM.</li>
<li>In addition, by not acquiring HMM, LX International has enough financial resources to continue to pay high dividends. </li>
</ul>


LX International announced today that it will not participate in the main bidding to acquire HMM Co.
This is likely to have a positive impact on LX International's share price as many investors are relieved that company will not raise excessive amounts of capital to acquire HMM.
In addition, by not acquiring HMM, LX International has enough financial resources to continue to pay high dividends.

<li>KDB recently initiated the process of selecting an advisory firm to sell its stake in HMM, which will likely be the first to implement the mandatory offer rule.</li>
<li>Potential bidders include Hyundai Glovis, LX Holdings, and Samsung SDS. As for POSCO Holdings, it recently said that it is not considering acquiring HMM.</li>
<li>Given that HMM is the only national shipping company, there is a good chance that multiple bidders will appear, which will lead to a premium to the market price.</li>
</ul>

These relationships trade with a minimum liquidity of US$1mn, and a % market capitalisation &gt;20%.

<li>Those that fit the pattern shown in the last rebalancing are CJ CGV and Bukwang. The problem, however, is that they have potential events triggering their price to fall.</li>
<li>So, I suggest paying attention to Yungjin Pharm and SK Discovery, which also have a sizable level of short interest and are expected to have stable short-coverings by end-June.</li>
