<li>Reuters and several other news media outlets reported that <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/tencent-holdings-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:26:1" rel="noopener">Tencent (700 HK)</a> is looking to raise its stake in French game publisher Ubisoft as it seeks to expand overseas.</li>
<li>Tencent owns approx. 5.0% of Ubisoft which was acquired in 2018 and is said to have reached out to the founding family Guillemot to buy a stake from their ownership.</li>
<li>As we mentioned in our previous insight, Tencent has been excluded for the fourth time from new game approvals which had impacted its online games biz.</li>

Tencent owns approx. 5.0% of Ubisoft which was acquired in 2018 and is said to have reached out to the founding family Guillemot to buy a stake from their ownership.

Mercari Inc (4385 JP) will be added to the Tokyo Stock Exchange Tokyo Price Index Topix (TPX INDEX) at the close on 28 July.
There are a lot of FFW changes, mainly reductions. This leads to large funding inflows on the large index stocks.
We estimate the inclusion of Mercari and the FFW changes will lead to a one-way turnover of 0.56% leading to a one-way trade of JPY 442.23bn (US$3.25bn).

<li>The last of the three-leg rebalance for TOPIX and JPNK400 index weights takes place Wednesday 29 June at the close. This one is a bit larger than expected in April.</li>
<li>There were a large number of cancellations of shares by TSE Prime members in May which ups the predicted value to be traded. </li>
<li>Interestingly, because lots of names have seen share cancellations and FFW drops, the average passive ownership of TSE Float (not other providers' float) has gone up significantly through this process. </li>
</ul>
