We combine fundamental bottom-up views with our proprietary quantitative framework to provide a holistic coverage across new listings and placements. Our coverage includes pre-IPO notes before the deal is launched, follow-up analysis once the deal is live and post-listing trading analysis as well.

Tencent Q1 FY24 Results Due, a Look into What Is Priced

<ul><li>Since the introduction of the Shareholder Weighted indices (SWIX) in July 2003, fund managers with South African equity mandates have had an array of benchmarks to choose from.</li><li>The SWIX was introduced at a time when resources made up more than 50% of the Top 40.</li><li>The SWIX methodology addressed this concentration by adjusting the float of dual-listed entities to reflect shares held by South African residents (eg. AGL, BHP).</li></ul>

JSE Mar 24 Harmonisation - Is Your Benchmark Changing?

<li>In yesterday’s trading session, Naspers and Prosus followed the market lower leading up to and after the US CPI print (headline worse than expected, core inline). </li>
<li>Naspers and Prosus closed 1.4% and 1.9% lower, reducing Naspers’ discount to Prosus’ market value to its narrowest level since Prosus listed. The discount closed at 10.4% (currently 10.9%).</li>
<li>Naspers has outperformed Prosus by 2.2% during the last 3 trading days. </li>

In yesterday’s trading session, Naspers and Prosus followed the market lower leading up to and after the US CPI print (headline worse than expected, core inline).

Index Rebalance

<li>JSE indexes will be rebalanced in the closing auction tomorrow. </li>
<li>MCG will fall out of the TOPI and DTOP and HAR will enter. The ALSI gets reviewed semi-annually in March and September.</li>
<li>ACL and LBR will fall out of the ALSI, ALSI SWIX and the capped variants.</li>
</ul>


JSE indexes will be rebalanced in the closing auction tomorrow.
