Water Tower Research was founded by Wall Street veterans after witnessing a fundamental shift in the investment research industry with the result being a declining knowledge base among investors, a lack of awareness and a shrinking pool of fundamental research being conducted on companies across the small-cap and micro-cap spectrum. The same issues are now increasingly occurring in the mid-cap space. This sea change within the investment community is impacting not only the companies themselves but also current shareholders and potential investors. With significantly less active sell-side sponsorship by Wall Street, a substantial information gap has developed between companies and various constituents in the financial community. The net result is fewer channels for insight and information to flow between companies and investors.

<p>At KIS capital we try to keep ourselves at the forefront of technology and innovation, attempting to identify which industries may blossom, and which may be disrupted. In the middle of 2016, KIS Research published its in-depth report on Autonomous Vehicles. To follow up the success of that report, we have released this one, focusing on a new topic: human longevity. We see human longevity as a huge new investment theme. Human longevity will create a more productive working age population, extend the retirement age, create new consumer spending patterns amongst the elderly, cause a revamp of the superannuation system, increase unfunded pension liabilities, change life and health insurance premiums, and even alter the way in which fiscal policy is managed, to name a few. In this report we will explore the burgeoning technologies that are seeking to extend healthy life well north of 100 years (NB: there is a section on life hacks that you can be doing today to increase your longevity).
