JD Logistics was founded with the formation of <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/jd-com-inc-adr" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:446:1" rel="noopener">JD.com Inc (ADR) (JD US)</a>’s in-house logistics department in 2007.</p></div><div><p>At the proposed IPO price range of HK$39.36-43.36 per share, JD Logistics will have a market cap of HK$239,766-264,132 million ($30.9-34.0 billion). At the mid-point of the IPO price range, the net proceeds are HK$24,713 million ($3.2 billion). Seven cornerstone investors will purchase $1.5 billion worth of the offer shares (47.16% of the offer shares at the mid-point of the IPO price range). <p>Softbank reported stellar investment gains in its fourth quarter as expected with gains on the Vision Funds totalling ¥3,563bn in 4Q alone. The issue is of course that the recent sell off which has hit Coupang particularly hard (as we warned) has seen almost a third of those gains evaporate.</p>

<p>A 3% NASDAQ correction is a challenge for Softbank Group as it prepares to announce FY20 results later this week. The key takeaway for the quarter ended March is a $26bn gain for Vision Fund public companies led by the January IPO of Coupang which contributed $25bn of the upside as of quarter-end. But that same portfolio has given up almost half those gains QTD whilst sustained weakness would also impact the ability to get a Didi Chuxing IPO attractively placed even as the value of c. $22bn invested in public tech shares and derivatives could be at risk. The silver lining is that the chances of a new share buyback program have increased.</p>
